DescriptionAPS LAB (Agriculture Precision Solutions Laboratory) is a laboratory for precision engineering of biotechnical systems established in February 2014 at the Department of Agricultural Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade. The complete equipment of the laboratory was delivered to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering within the implementation of the IPA HETIP project for the procurement of laboratory equipment. The basic field of teaching, scientific research and commercial activities within the laboratory and the equipment that the laboratory contains is satellite guidance of agricultural machines and engineering of location specific precise agricultural production. Laboratory equipment and equipment include common components and systems for the positioning of agricultural machinery in operation as well as individual precision systems for special purposes. All systems are unified and compatible with the adequate software package for the transmission and processing of SMS Advance data. In the field of scientific research, with the help of laboratory equipment and equipment, the achieved results in the field of research of the influence of the location specific yield on the regime of combine harvesting have been achieved so far. On this occasion, for the first time in Serbia, a yield measurement system was set up on a grain harvester and a successful locational specific yield measurements and mapping were made during the entire harvest season in 2014. The availability and precision of the navigation signal in the territory of Serbia was also verified and found to be quite satisfactory for the applications in agriculture. These research was supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Serbia in the framework of the financing of technological development projects, and the continuation of research under the auspices of the Ministry in the area of optimization of technology for measuring nitrogen content in green parts of plant species and the creation of appropriate and precise technological maps for observation of location specificity of the field from the aspect of nitrogen content as the most important nutrient for the proper and uniform development of plant species. Technological maps of nitrogen content allow the generation of application maps and location specific distribution of mineral fertilizers in order to optimally manage the raw materials and energy. The commercial application of systems, devices and equipment for precision agriculture has been experiencing steady growth over the last two decades. APS LAB with its equipment and operation contributes to the introduction of potential users with new technologies, realizes savings economies projects for large agricultural corporations, develops more advanced technologies for more precise application of location-specific production and consulting affects all potential customers of advanced technology devices for navigation and management of agricultural machinery. APS LAB is ready to temporarily allocate part of the equipment to interested parties in order to combine commercial profits in real agricultural production and scientific research efforts to improve technologies and technical systems for application in precision agriculture. Cooperation of this type has so far been achieved with the biggest farm near Belgrade, PKB Belgrade. Now, from this season, we offer field scouting by dron and analisys of data.
